It is a fungus that affects the grains of various cereals, including coffee beans. This fungus affects human health and is one of the factors involved in the development of cancer.
Our coffee comes from three coffee farms in Chanchamayo – Junín. These farms are affiliated with the Coopchebi cooperative, which oversees the coffee bean selection process.
Shade-grown coffee refers to the production of coffee carried out without cutting down trees, where coffee plants are planted under the shade of the native trees in the area.
Our coffee is grown between 1,400 and 1,800 meters above sea level.
Coffee selection is done manually, grain by grain. Those that are broken or have any defects are removed, leaving only the healthy and perfect beans.
